Privacy policy
The plain-English version: you share health data here on purpose, only members can see it, you can delete it (we keep only anonymous statistics), and we don't sell it. The details follow.
Who we are
EliteMetrics (elitemetrics.ai) is a free online community for learning how to optimise your body using biometrics and lifestyle choices. Members share screenshots of their health and fitness data, describe what they changed, and discuss the results.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, your mobile number, and a password (stored as a secure hash, we never see it). A mobile number is required to join. We use it to help secure your account and to send you EliteMetrics updates and notifications, including by SMS.
Profile details you choose to add: username, display name, avatar photo, bio, birth year, sex, goals, training activities, devices you use, and supplements you take.
Content you choose to post: text, experiment numbers (like an HRV change), and screenshots — which often show health and biometric data from your wearables.
Interactions: likes, comments, and who you follow.
Health information is sensitive information
Much of what members share here — heart rate, HRV, sleep data, blood pressure, body composition, supplement use — is health information. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), health information is "sensitive information" and gets a higher level of protection.
We only collect it because you choose to post it. By creating an account and posting, you consent to us storing that content and showing it to other logged-in members. Don't post anything you wouldn't want other members to see, and consider cropping screenshots that show more than you intend to share.
How your data is stored
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Images are stored in private buckets — they are not publicly accessible and are only served through expiring signed links generated for logged-in members.
Access to your data is restricted by row-level security rules: every member can only create, edit, and delete their own content.
Who can see your content
Only logged-in EliteMetrics members can see profiles, posts, screenshots, and comments. Nothing you post is visible to the public internet or search engines.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Apart from the founding-member marketing described below, we do not use your content for anything beyond running this community.
Founding members and marketing
To launch the community, the first 100 members to join (our founding members) help us show what EliteMetrics is about. By joining as a founding member, you consent to EliteMetrics capturing screenshots of your experiment posts and featuring them in our marketing and promotion, including on social media such as Instagram posts and stories.
This is a limited exception to the members-only rule above: a founding member's experiment content (the metric, what you changed, and your screenshots, shown with your EliteMetrics username) may appear publicly in our marketing. We will not publish your email address or other account details.
This applies only to founding members; everyone else's content stays members-only. If you would prefer a particular post not be used, email privacy@elitemetrics.ai and we will honour that.
Deleting your content and your account
You can delete any of your posts and comments at any time — deletion is immediate and removes attached images from storage.
You can delete your entire account from your profile settings. This permanently removes your profile, posts, screenshots, comments, likes, and follows. It cannot be undone.
One thing we keep: the anonymous numbers. When you delete your account, the structured figures from your experiment posts — the metric name, the before and after values, the unit, plus your sex and birth decade — are retained in a de-identified statistics table with nothing linking them to you, your account, or each other. This helps the community's aggregate insights (like average HRV improvements) survive member turnover. Your screenshots, written posts, comments, and profile are deleted, never anonymised and kept.
